Overview
This bill changes the requirements for people circulating recall petitions in New Jersey. Currently, circulators only need to sign an affidavit stating their name and address and that they circulated the petition in good faith. This bill would require circulators to take an oath by affidavit before an officer qualified to administer oaths, similar to the requirements for nominating candidates for office. This change is intended to help prevent petition fraud.
