Overview
This bill modifies the composition of the Fish and Game Council within the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife. It changes the number of members appointed from agricultural conventions, sportsmen’s clubs, and animal welfare organizations. Specifically, it replaces three of the existing six seats for sportsmen representatives with three new seats for individuals recommended by animal welfare organizations, while maintaining the council’s total membership of 11. The bill aims to broaden the council’s representation to include a wider range of perspectives on wildlife conservation.
