Overview
This bill directs the New Jersey Attorney General to review and revise the state’s existing policy for investigating human trafficking. The Attorney General will specifically examine the use of audio and video recordings by law enforcement, how those recordings are handled to protect victims, and the role of county prosecutors in these investigations. The review will also consider any other relevant areas identified by the Attorney General to improve the effectiveness and victim safety of human trafficking investigations.
