Overview
This bill allows private vehicle inspection facilities in New Jersey to conduct vehicle inspections at locations other than their regular business address. These off-site inspections can be performed on diesel-fueled trucks and other vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 8,500 pounds or less, but not on school buses or vehicles with elevated chassis heights. The bill also establishes guidelines for how these inspections must be conducted to comply with state regulations.
