Overview
This bill changes the rules for establishing substance use disorder treatment centers near schools in New Jersey. Currently, applicants must demonstrate that a proposed center is at least 500 feet from any school building. This bill requires applicants to notify the local municipality and county planning board of their intention to build a center within that distance and to obtain a resolution of support from the municipality before submitting their application. It also updates existing regulations to align with these new requirements.
