Overview
This bill requires health benefits coverage for hearing aids for all ages in New Jersey. It amends existing legislation to remove the age restriction previously limiting coverage to individuals 15 years of age or younger. The bill applies to various types of health insurance plans, including hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health service corporations, individual health insurance policies, group health insurance policies, and the NJ FamilyCare Program. It also extends coverage requirements to the School Employees’ Health Benefits Commission.
