Overview
This bill removes certain limitations on manufacturers regarding the direct sale of zero-emission light-duty trucks to consumers in New Jersey. Currently, manufacturers were restricted from directly selling these vehicles. This legislation would allow manufacturers to sell these trucks directly to consumers, subject to certain conditions, including a limit on the number of retail locations and the requirement to operate at least one service facility. It also clarifies the definition of a ‘zero emission light-duty truck’ based on California Air Resources Board standards.
