Overview
This bill establishes a three-year pilot program in New Jersey’s public schools to help students apply for federal financial aid. The Commissioner of Education, working with the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, will provide information and assistance to 12th-grade students on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Participating school districts will need to develop plans for training staff and providing instruction to students and their families.
