Overview
This bill establishes state goals for the sale, lease, and operation of zero-emission medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, as well as certain off-road vehicles and equipment, within New Jersey. It mandates that 100% of new medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks sold in the state be zero-emission by 2045, and 100% of off-road vehicles and equipment by 2035 where feasible. The Department of Environmental Protection will develop strategies and report on progress towards these goals, and will also create a market development strategy to increase accessibility to zero-emission vehicles.
