Overview
This bill proposes to increase funding for the Center for Great Expectations, a program within the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, by $1.5 million. Currently, the Center receives $500,000 from the General Fund, but this bill would raise that amount to $2 million for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. The Center provides housing and support services to vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or substance use disorders, particularly adolescents who are pregnant or parenting.
