Overview
This bill prohibits food service businesses in New Jersey from automatically providing single-use utensils and condiments to customers. It requires full-service restaurants with on-site seating to offer reusable utensils and allows casual dining establishments to provide single-use items only upon customer request. The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will establish an education campaign to promote the benefits of reducing these single-use items.
