Overview
This bill creates a task force within the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to study and recommend strategies for transitioning commercial motor vehicle fleets to zero-emission vehicles. The task force will analyze challenges faced by fleet owners, coordinate with stakeholders, and propose policy changes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It will also assess the feasibility of extending the task force’s lifespan or establishing a permanent advisory council on fleet modernization.
