Overview
This bill directs the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to create rules and regulations to implement California’s low emissions vehicle program. It allows for the implementation of the program, with some exceptions regarding the required number of zero-emission vehicles, limiting any increases beyond the level in effect as of November 1, 2023. The DEP is also authorized to include incentives to encourage the use of zero-emission vehicles.
