Overview
This bill prohibits the operation of drones over schools in New Jersey under specific circumstances. It makes operating a drone below 250 feet over a school building or grounds without authorization a disorderly persons offense, as well as using the school as a takeoff or landing zone. The bill also addresses operating drones near correctional facilities, first responders, and wildlife, and clarifies that authorized use by public entities and first responders is permitted. It amends existing law to include these drone operation restrictions.
