Overview
The Transparency in Government Act establishes a State public finance website, designated the ‘Transparency in Government Act,’ to provide citizens with access to information about State revenues, expenditures, and bonded debt. The website will be maintained by the State Treasurer and the Chief Technology Officer, and will be overseen by a Public Finance Transparency Committee. Data will be sourced from the State’s central accounting and payroll systems, and the website’s development will be phased in to allow for initial implementation.
