Bill overview
This bill establishes the Purple Ribbon Task Force on Firefighter and Peace Officer Wellness. The Task Force will review existing state policies related to the mental and physical health of firefighters, peace officers, and other law enforcement personnel. It will then recommend new wellness initiatives for state and local agencies and submit a written report to the legislature for consideration. The Task Force’s membership will include representatives from local government, employee organizations, law enforcement agencies, and fire departments.
