Overview
This bill proposes corporate tax credits for New Jersey businesses that hire community health workers. Businesses would receive a 15% tax credit on the wages paid to these workers, up to a maximum of $2,500 per worker. To claim the credit, businesses must obtain certification from the Commissioner of Health that their employees meet specific qualifications as qualified community health workers. The credits can be carried forward for up to five years.
