Bill overview
This bill aims to improve how Nevada state agencies manage grant funding to private nonprofits. It requires state grant-making entities to promptly notify nonprofits if payments are delayed and to provide an annual report detailing these delays to the Interim Finance Committee. The bill also directs the Office of Federal Assistance to collaborate with state agencies on grant administration and updates the State Plan for Maximizing Federal Assistance to include methods for advanced grant payments and best practices. Grants executed before July 1, 2026, are exempt from these new requirements.
