Bill overview
This bill revises Nevada’s rules for how government agencies and local governments create and adopt regulations and fees. Specifically, it requires state agencies to analyze the potential economic impact of proposed regulations on small businesses and to include a small business impact statement in their decisions. Furthermore, it mandates that local governments notify chambers of commerce and trade associations before adopting rules that could significantly affect businesses, and eliminates certain exemptions for local governments regarding these procedural requirements. Finally, it requires impact fees to be subject to the same notification procedures.
