Overview
This bill restricts property tax appeals in New Jersey to only apply to a taxpayer’s own property. Currently, taxpayers could challenge the assessments of other properties in their county. The bill aims to reduce the cost and uncertainty associated with property tax appeals by limiting the scope of appeals to individual property owners. It also prohibits appeals based on financial agreements between taxpayers and taxing districts.
