Overview
This bill changes how money from a local tourism fund is spent on advertising. Currently, at least 50% of the funds must be used for advertising outside the municipality. This bill allows the Tourist Development Commission to decide, based on their assessment, what percentage of the funds should be allocated for advertising beyond the local area. The change is intended to adapt to modern advertising practices and provide greater flexibility for the commission to promote tourism throughout the state.
