Overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to provide customers with certain documents, such as driver’s licenses and identification cards, immediately upon completing an in-person appointment at a commission agency. Customers will have the option to receive these documents on the same day as their appointment, before leaving the agency, provided they’ve submitted the necessary application and payment. The bill also mandates that each MVC location have the necessary equipment to facilitate this same-day issuance.
