Overview
This bill extends tuition benefits to the dependents of members of the United States Armed Forces who died while on active duty. Currently, this benefit was limited to the surviving spouses of New Jersey National Guard members killed in the line of duty. This legislation expands eligibility to include the children and surviving spouses of any active-duty military member who died while serving. Furthermore, the bill provides a monetary award to help cover non-tuition expenses like housing and supplies.
