Overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) to create a program offering grants to qualified veterans who purchase franchises in the state. The EDA will establish the program’s rules and conditions for applying and receiving funding, with a maximum grant of $10,000. Veterans must demonstrate they are a franchisee or have a valid offer from a franchisor to be eligible. The EDA will also track how the grant money is used to support franchise purchases.
