Overview
This bill addresses the issue of noncitizens voting in local elections in New Jersey. It states that local governments lack the authority to allow non-citizens to vote and declares any such policies to be against public policy and void. Furthermore, it clarifies that elected local government officers must uphold their oath of office and prohibits them from taking actions that would authorize non-citizen voting.
