Overview
This bill clarifies the rules for school board members volunteering in their school districts. It allows board members to participate in volunteer activities as long as they don’t violate the School Ethics Act and don’t directly manage school personnel, students, resources, or funds. The bill also requires board members to get prior consent from the superintendent and inform others that their involvement is in a personal capacity, not as an official board member.
