Overview
This bill requires adult day health care facilities in New Jersey to offer a ‘hybrid model’ of services, allowing them to provide care to beneficiaries remotely when in-person attendance is not possible. This could occur due to hospitalization, illness, caregiver issues, or to prevent the spread of disease. Services offered through telehealth would include assessments, therapies, and other healthcare support, and must be documented in the beneficiary’s care plan. Facilities providing these remote services will be reimbursed at the same rate as in-person services.
