Overview
This bill establishes the New Jersey Low Income Household Water Assistance Program to provide financial and other assistance, including water service and bill payment help, to low-income households. Eligible households will have a monthly income at or below 60% of the New Jersey State median income. The program will be funded with $25 million and will require local authorities and municipal utilities to enter into vendor contracts with the Department of Community Affairs to administer the program.
