Overview
This bill allows licensed adult day health services facilities in New Jersey to provide services remotely to enrollees who cannot or do not want to attend in person. These remote services can include daily wellness checks via telehealth, access to healthcare professionals, meal delivery, and transportation coordination. Facilities must bill for these remote services at the same rate as in-person services, and documentation must be included in the enrollee’s care plan. The bill also requires the state to seek federal funding to support these remote services.
