Overview
This bill establishes a matching grant program within the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to support community-based nonprofit organizations that provide shelter during Code Blue alerts (periods of dangerously cold weather). The program will provide matching funds to eligible nonprofits, contingent on them having received a prior grant from a county or municipality. The DCA will review applications and award grants based on established criteria, with a limit of $50,000 per county/municipality in a year.
