Overview
This bill revises New Jersey’s law on extended employment programs for people with disabilities, renaming the existing program the ‘Extended Employment Act.’ It broadens eligibility criteria by allowing individuals with ‘significant’ disabilities to participate, removes requirements for workshop completion and a determination of inability to compete in the open labor market, and clarifies the role of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
