Overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Department of Education (DOE) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to create online systems for schools and child care centers to report lead testing results. Schools and child care centers that are required to test for lead will need to submit their results electronically through these new systems. The DOE and DCF will then compile and publicly share this data to help track lead contamination and identify areas where assistance is needed for remediation.
