Overview
This bill creates special license plates for honorably discharged veterans in New Jersey. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, in consultation with the Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs, will design and issue these plates, which will identify the vehicle’s owner as a veteran and specify their branch of service. A $15 application fee will be charged, in addition to standard registration fees, and surviving spouses of deceased veterans are permitted to retain the plates on their vehicles.
