Overview
This bill requires New Jersey municipalities that provide water services to property owners to provide written terms and conditions to those property owners. These terms and conditions must detail the financial responsibility of the property owner for water service payments, as well as the responsibility of the municipality or water district for maintenance, repairs, and service line connections. The information must be posted on the municipality’s website and mailed annually to property owners, with updates sent to new owners within 45 days of a property transfer.
