Overview
This bill amends New Jersey law to clarify the authority of the Superintendent of the State Police to adjust the ranks and grades of personnel within the Division of State Police. It expands the categories of personnel whose ranks can be changed and specifies that changes to command staff (majors and lieutenant colonels) require Attorney General approval. The bill also ensures that any personnel changes are within the division’s allocated budget.
