Overview
This bill updates New Jersey’s regulations regarding radiator covers in rental properties. It expands the requirement to apply to all radiators that reach a surface temperature above 110 degrees Fahrenheit, rather than just steam radiators. Landlords must now equip these radiators with durable guards or covers to protect tenants from burns, and they must notify tenants of their right to request such coverings. Failure to comply can result in fines.
