Overview
This bill changes the law in New Jersey to allow limited liability companies (LLCs) to drop or terminate alternate names they’ve registered with the state before their LLC’s five-year registration period ends. Currently, LLCs cannot do this. However, the law maintains this restriction for LLCs that operate as residential landlords. The bill also updates related state laws to reflect changes in responsibilities for the State Treasurer.
