Overview
This bill changes the requirements for leadership positions on the State Board of Medical Examiners in New Jersey. It mandates that the board elect a vice president alongside a president, secretary, and treasurer. Furthermore, it stipulates that the president and vice president must be licensed as an allopathic physician (M.D.), an osteopathic physician (D.O.), or a doctor of podiatric medicine (D.P.M.). The law will go into effect on the first day of the fourth month following its passage to allow the board time to implement the changes.
