Overview
This bill would change New Jersey’s law regarding recording phone calls and other conversations. It would make it illegal to record a conversation unless everyone involved in the conversation gives their consent. Currently, New Jersey law only requires consent from one party to a conversation. This change would align New Jersey with the laws of eleven other states that require ‘all-party consent’ for recording.
