Bill overview
This bill modifies the rules for filing legal challenges related to initiatives and referendums in Nevada. Currently, these challenges must be filed in the First Judicial District Court. This bill expands the possibility of filing these challenges in any qualified district court, which is defined as either the First Judicial District Court if it has electronic filing systems and access to documents, or any other district court with at least five judges and similar electronic capabilities. The bill also clarifies the process for appealing decisions made by the Secretary of State regarding these petitions.
