Bill overview
This bill revises Nevada campaign finance laws by expanding the definition of a ‘committee for political action’ to include certain nonprofit organizations, business organizations that have filed organizational information with the Secretary of State, and labor unions. It also requires certain excluded entities to report independent expenditures exceeding $1,000. Furthermore, the bill modifies the rules for disposing of unspent campaign contributions by defeated candidates and former public officers, shortening the timeframe for disposal to 15 days for former officers.
