Bill overview
This bill changes how accountants are certified in Nevada. It eliminates the previous requirement for specific education and work experience, instead requiring the Nevada State Board of Accountancy to create regulations for these requirements. The bill also removes a fee for evaluating candidate experience and clarifies the Board’s authority regarding examination requirements and credit for passed sections. Finally, it removes the requirement for registering a fictitious name with the Board.
