Bill overview
This bill directs the New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) to take over responsibility for the operations and maintenance, as well as any improvements, of the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Currently, the Palisades Interstate Park Commission holds this authority. The DOT would be responsible for the portions of the parkway located within New Jersey, with a potential contract allowing the Park Commission to continue some activities while the DOT provides funding.
