Bill overview
This bill creates a voluntary fund for New Jersey taxpayers to contribute a portion of their income tax refunds to support public schools. Individuals can opt to donate to the ‘School Aid Contribution Fund’ when filing their state income tax returns. The money collected will supplement, but not replace, existing state funding for public schools, as determined by the Legislature and distributed to school districts annually.
