Bill overview
This bill requires New Jersey school districts to include instruction on artificial intelligence in their curriculum, from kindergarten through 12th grade, and mandates that the Commissioner of Education provide supporting resources. Simultaneously, the bill directs the Secretary of Higher Education to develop model curricula for both four-year colleges and county colleges to offer certificate and degree programs in artificial intelligence. These curricula will be developed in consultation with various state agencies and educational organizations to ensure alignment and quality.
