Bill overview
This bill would allow 16 and 17-year-olds in New Jersey to vote in elections for their local school boards. It requires the Secretary of State to create a registration process and rules for verifying voter identities, including designing paper ballots. Importantly, this bill only extends voting rights to school board elections and does not affect the ability of 16 and 17-year-olds to vote in other elections.
