Bill overview
This bill prohibits tourist helicopter operations in New Jersey to reduce noise, safety hazards, and negative impacts on residents’ quality of life. The Commissioner of Transportation will be responsible for implementing this ban at all licensed aviation facilities, such as airports and helipads. However, flights by federal, military, or state-owned helicopters, as well as those providing emergency medical transportation, are exempt from this prohibition.
