Bill overview
This bill modifies New Jersey’s renewable energy incentive programs to encourage more solar energy development. It allows for the co-location of multiple solar facilities on the same property and expands eligibility for the community solar program to include solar installations on commercial and industrial rooftops, landfills, and contaminated sites. The bill also requires electric public utilities to accept interconnection applications for these solar projects and creates an exemption for purchasing renewable energy credits through the state’s public bidding process.
