Bill overview
This bill requires the county recording officer, working with the Motor Vehicle Commission, to create a notification service called a ‘property alert service.’ This service will alert property owners – including those with manufactured homes – when certain documents affecting their property, like liens or deeds, are recorded. Property owners can choose to participate and provide their mailing address or email to receive these alerts, and a small fee of up to $10 per year may be charged for this service.
