This bill requires the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) to establish a Veterans Outdoor Recovery Task Force. The task force will identify opportunities to improve access to public lands and outdoor spaces for veterans’ medical treatment and therapy, as well as address barriers to these programs. It will also develop recommendations for legislation and other actions to support veterans’ healing and recovery through outdoor recreation. The task force will report its findings to the legislature and the governor within eighteen months.
